Game Review
Heart The Beat is definitely one of those games that will induce a bad headache or worst seizure after playing. The idea of the game is simple, basically to dodge the crazy beating walls and collect coins in this pulsing. The more coins you collect, the higher your score multiplier but resets upon hitting a wall. You can choose to move with the left and right arrow keys, or with the ‘A’ and ‘D’ keys.

The gameplay itself is very smooth. All the spinning, the zooming in and out effects is in perfect synchronization with the beat. It senses just like a regular heartbeat and I felt that the developer made a perfect choice selection for the game. However, the replayability is really taken out by only having the one track and limited effects. Perhaps with a couple of extra songs or going horizontally after collecting some special coins can drastically bring the gameplay to a whole new level. It also won't hurt to have little tweaks like, letting players pick the color of the ship and the walls, could really put some extra fun into it.

I must say that the game is quite a challenging game! The coins kind of lured me into getting hit by a wall, because the wall would overlap the coin. I possibly might have just screwed up, but it did appear that the wall covered half of the coin. It was a very enjoyable experience but my eyes hurt now after staring at it. For a second, my floor actually zoomed in and out... Same effect as the spiral optical illusion.
