Game Review
A good change of pace from all the shooter crazy and boss mania games out there. Let's take a look at this game called Folds - Origami now. What is the first thing that comes into your mind? In my opinion, it's art! The first Origami I learnt was making a paper Shuriken in primary school. As a 7 year old kid, I remember I have to follow the diagrams and memorize all the steps is nearly impossible. Speaking of being a art student, I am quite a terrible one.

Folds - Origami took a new approach to Japanese paper folding; Rather than going for some real-world, finished object, you are trying to pack material into the proper alignment using the fewest folds. This is what this puzzle flash game is about. It allows you to make complex shapes digitally and your goal is to create the shape indicated within the white dotted line in a limited number of folds/steps. Simply click and drag an edge of the paper to fold it to any angle you desire. Folds - Origami is actually a deceptively simple looking game, the puzzles are pretty tricky and unforgiving. You are required to think cleverly and able to visualize the shape after each fold. For the most part, I actually took out a piece of paper trying to solve the puzzle. Its legit way to cheat!

This is a well executed game. I really like the process when you sometimes believe it's impossible to solve the puzzle and getting a scissor is probably a better answer to this game... then suddenly you found the solution by rethinking the first fold. It is satisfying and entertaining when you get it correct. I have never thought Origami could make such a fascinating game! More importantly, no trees were harmed in the making of this flash game. ^^
