Game Review
Red Rogue is now available for your dungeon crawling delight, I will rate it 10 and it should not missed. It first attracted my attention with its striking color scheme; grayscale and deep red. I could best describe Red Rogue as a side scrolling roguelike flash game packed with quite a punch!

This is an astonishingly well made game. The combat can be fast paced and fiercely tactical, and the developer gives you the choice between two combat types; action RPG based or dogmatic based. Both modes are great but I will prefer action RPG more. Basically, you start off with nothing. You and your pet minion attack by shoving your opponent, you might stun monsters by chance. Combat revolves around being leveled up enough to get into a shoving match, or finding a ladder to climb up so you can stun your enemies. Due to the nature of the combat there's no jumping, but this means we get gameplay much more similar to the original Rogue.

Along the way you can pick up weapons, armor, health packs and runes from enemies you kill and treasure chests. You can use the runes to enchant your weapons and armor. The game is made to be versatile; an example is a heal rune... If you eat it, you get healed. You throw it, it heals what it hits. You cast it on armor and it heals you slowly when worn. Each action performed gives unique effects that could be beneficial or detrimental. Besides that, I love the fact you can also equip items to your pet minion and can throw items as weapons.

The atmosphere is perfect, and when combined with the soundtrack is well deserving of the horror tag. The developer has done a superb presentation in reinventing the user interface. I found it pretty intuitive and quick to navigate. Like I said, Red Rogue has minimal graphics and inputs, making it very easy to get into. It's definitely one of the promising dungeon crawler or roguelike flash game I have ever played.
