Royal Offense Walkthrough
Ranged units just dominate the game no matter what, really... Especially when you unlock the elf. Start off by buying 2-3 taxmen, click them and drag them near the buildings then to castle for quick money. Afterwards, I was able to complete every level on hard without doing anything but buying 2 rangers then 1 elf, and repeat. With around 20 archers, they destroy anything from enemies to buildings. This flash game can be beaten completely effortlessly within half an hour. This is the most effective method to beat the game. However if you like challenges, play the game with melee units and perhaps no dragging! :)

Good spells include heal, revive and both lightning spells. Please note that spells doesn't have a cooldown! It looks like they do in the interface but you can spam them to your heart's content if you have the extra money. Pro-Tip: If you have reached the unit limit you can just sacrifice a few men, train some new to reach the limit and then resurrect those sacrificed. You can increase your limit artificially by 5 in this way.
