Game Review
Farm of Souls is in actual point the strangest game I have come across. This game is like a broken pencil, pointless... Yet I've been playing it for hours, it is certainly addictive in its ways. May I say that figuring out the game is the fun part! You will know for those who played the game. ^^

I see Farm of Souls as a simulation where you hit space to create people. They will begin to construct a stash and towns using the resources laying about in the field. People cannot pick up the heavier resources such as stone, iron, silver, gold until they’re higher levels. Nothing will last forever, people die. They will give you souls on their death, based on their happiness. As long as you make people die the happiest deaths, you will harvest the most souls. You then can use these souls to either make more people or upgrade them. Sounds interesting right?

This game actually took me a while to get the hang of, quite honestly. When I first began playing, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. Especially the class tree, I was extremely confused about that. After a few comment reads, in-game days, and random button clicking later, I began to understand and things picked up the pace. Once you understand how it works, it immediately turns into a great idle game! The progress of civilization to a nice little village, to a town, then a medieval city and lastly skyscrapers everywhere.

There's nothing more satisfying than allowing all of your people to die, then holding space to re-spawn the maximum amount and having a ton of souls left over for upgrades. I find it a little adorable how the churches have a letter K on them, for Kongregate. It was a really nice little touch. Absolutely love the concept. Keep going! You have my support.

Solution to Farm of Souls
First of all, Place your workers until you are at population max. Wait for them work and die. Now max cap the people and this time spend the left over souls on upgrades you think are appropriate. It's hard to decide which upgrade you should up. So this is going to be a simple and brief guide on choosing your upgrades.

If people are wandering in the middle, give them more sight. If the game is going slow for you, upgrade speed. And yes, life up is not really a good thing in the early phase but highly useful in the later part. The odd flowers and trees make resources spawn much faster, and are automatically built when your guys build up enough resources. It'll make more sense when the other buildings are put in. They'll make a small town but won't venture out and become happy until you upgrade their sight. Sight does not suck for an upgrade, don't be fooled.

By the time somewhere between 450 and 500 life, the buildings start spawning people faster than they die. At around 350 speed, you can see your people running at the speed of light. If you come to this point, you can stop adding life and speed. Your game basically went auto pilot itself. You can now concentrate and focus on other upgrades especially land.

Pro Tip: An easy way to make souls is to place as many people as you can near resources.

Three Body Problem Game Review

Game Review
Three Body Problem is a game of predicting the trajectory of two orange objects in response to your movements. Simply avoid the orange drones and hover through glowing tiles to earn points. It's amazing how fun such a simple concept can be with proper execution.

Lovely game. Those drones are way smarter than I originally thought. I feel dumb being outsmarted by a computer a million times. It always seems like the enemies seem to know which button I have pressed and acted accordingly without fail. It is simple yet so effective which lead me to wonder, do the drones actually have an AI or are they purely physics based and attracted to the player?

After some experimentation I realized that the drones seem to run directly into you but not really running directly into you. The two orange drones always move in an arch which can be kind of misleading. Generally an arch that puts them straight into your current trajectory, so erratically changing your path is the key. I always try to make them crash into each other and then move away.

Don't feel bad if you suck at this game. I suck equally, my current score is capped at 15 points. Even reaching double figures feels like an achievement! >:) I love the challenge and love watching the drones fight after you die.

Dungelot Game Review & Walkthrough Guide

Genre: Adventure, RPG

Game Review
Hoping for more rogue like RPG flash games? First was Red Rogue and now we have Dungelot. Red Rogue was a fairly hardcore rouge like flash game mainly suitable for competitive gamer. I would say Dungelot is a lot more casual but it works in its favor. It is an amazing game concept, truly unique and very fun to play.

Dungelot is a very typical dungeon crawler. You have four playable characters that you can choose on; a paladin, a vampire, a dwarf brewer and an assassin. Each character have their own special abilities and stats (Health & Attack Rate). Basically, you flip over tiles to reveal amazing treasures or deadly monsters in your search for the key to exit the level. A side note here, if you encounter an enemy you do not have to fight right away but they do block passage.

During the run, you will sure face monster arena. Its a place where you must kill all monsters to get a chest with rewards, but there is no turning back if you agreed to go there. Next will be this tile that is constantly flashing object like slot machine; you must click fast to grab thing you want. "Greedy door" is one of the last additions. The idea is that you must pay something to open the door. Not necessarily money, sometimes it takes your hp or attack rate.

I like the game so far and it's quite addictive too! Not only that you can pick among different heroes and fight evil goblins and skeleton, the game improves as the player goes deeper into the dungeon. The quest option for some levels gives the player a special challenge and reason, more on motivation, to continue playing. Another thing I love the Dungelot is the fact that this game congratulates me upon dying makes this quite possibly one of the more enjoyable rogue like games I've played. No bitter feelings upon dying, nothing negative. Losing is fun! ^^

Strategy for Dungelot
Paladin
Paladin is a good class to play because in the later part, most of the monsters are mostly undead. Your Crusader Strike and Holy Strike have good synergy together and will deal tons of damage as you progress. The best part of being a Paladin is you can afford to die once, you get revived after being killed. If you see it in my context, you basically have a Resurrection Stone in your pocket every time you start a new game.

Vampire
So far, I feel that the vampire is probably the most most well balanced class in Dungelot. It can life steal, modify monster's damage and a mass attack power. Undead Sympathy in other words, a damage modifier has a chance to reduce the target's attack power against non-undead monsters up to 40%. You will find it handy once you reach floor 50 and above. Life Stealing HP from monsters means you are constantly healing bit by bit. It may seem little but essential for survival. I like!

Brewer
The brewer has the highest HP among all the classes. It has a skill which effectively converts spells scroll to health at a higher amount and there is a small chance to gain attack power after doing so. This skill really helped me clear through floors easily when you have extra spell scrolls to spare. Every time you attack, you have a 20% chance to stun an enemy for 3 turns and 6% to do extra damage based on the dwarf's health.

Assassin
The assassin has been badly nerfed but still an outstanding class to play with. The assassin has no direct or indirect way of healing but you are a cunning dodger; you dodge attacks and have the ability to hit the enemy twice. These skills are made to protect you and keep you alive longer. Dirty Punch cause damage to newly discovered enemies without hit back and stun target for 1 move. He is perfect in clearing bosses.

Alchemist
The alchemist is fairly new character in Dungelot. She is a more passive class I would say... She can poison newly revealed enemy and has a chance to gain extra attack rates. I like one of her unique skills which can summon a minion to tank damage from her. The HP may not be much but, just imagine if she can summon at least one minion in every floor. Calculate the total amount of temporary HP she gets? It is actually unbelievable.

Dungelot Tile Strategy
Dungelot Tile Strategy

In my opinion, I will explore all the tiles along the white lines shown above. Try to take out monsters in 1 hit if possible. A good offense is the best defense. Then explore the remaining dungeon floors as much as you can before fighting, since you might find upgrades or allies. Wait to open the barrels until all of the unexplored squares around them are gone, just to prevent monster that will block you. Clearing dungeon now gives rewards like health, golds, attack rate. In most cases, with the exception of quests and arenas, killing monsters unnecessarily in the later part of the game is a bad idea, as it reliably drains your health for only a tiny achievement gold boost at the end of the current game.

There are two types of ways you can use a scroll, cast it or exchange it. Try saving up scrolls like Polymorph, First Strike and Teleport. Let them stack up as much as possible as these three yield highest HP for trade in. Alternatively, you can save all fireball scrolls for levels 40+ and use them to take out ranged foes. Aside that, Lightning scrolls can be good in arenas since you're hitting ~8 monsters. General thumb of rule, wait until the next floor to exchange scrolls for health if possible, you might get more for them. If you are lucky to find artifacts, always keep as many Resurrection Stone and Ring Of Health as possible. They all the essential items for your survival.

Greedy doors mostly contain spells and rarely artifacts which makes it really quite easy to tell whether or not they're worth the price of admission. Remember also how much health you gain from burning a spell; that's the value of the door. If the door costs health, then, it's usually worth it, since you probably gain health by burning the spell outright. If it costs gold, it's frequently a better deal than the shop which does not necessarily say that it's a good deal. You receive spells too from challenge doors. It's pretty easy to clear it, so try your best to complete.

Lastly, towards the end when your HP is lower than 10, don't forget you can sell artifacts for money for those desperate situations. This will help you get extra gold to upgrade your character and buy single attack boost.

Pro Tip: Spell scrolls do stack. You can pick up spell scrolls even with full inventory, if there's a duplicate in there. You can exchange spell scrolls by consuming but do not eat all the spells scroll for health until you really need to, they give more HP the lower down you go.

Game Review
Hohoho, Merry Christmas! A Blocky Christmas is a Christmas themed flash game. It is exhibited as a stylish and sleek puzzle game designed by Bart Bonte. Bonte's style revolves around simplicity and always has plain geometric shapes in his work. A Blocky Christmas is no different and is a pretty creative game. First of its kind I've seen and it feels unique.

You play a magnetic star block where you use the arrows keys to slide over the board, and just bump into green shapes on any side to make them stick to you like magnet. The object of the game is simply to place yourself in the transparent image within each level, making sure any green shapes you need are stacked in the proper order. Do not think it's going to be a easy game, things does get complicated. You will need to make use of the edges and corners to achieve the shape.

With just sixteen levels, this is an awesome puzzle game and I enjoyed it with the Christmas spirit. It force you to use your brain hard enoug but you feels good when you suddenly realize and managed to get it right especially in level 12. It's true once you've figured out level 12 then apply the same method and 13 is a breeze.

Ubooly and Friends Game Review & Walkthrough Guide

Genre: Adventure, Puzzle

Game Review
It's hide-and-puzzle time with Ubooly and Friends! They have left a message for you. All twelve of Ubooly's friends are well hidden somewhere on their nine-screen Caribbean Island. So you then go around collecting various random items such as a lemon, a rusty nail, a feather, etc. And depending on each clue use them in various ways to complete the puzzles relating to the clues given and find Ubooly's friends. If you get stuck, find the wise platypus in the upper left corner of the map and he'll share some hints with you.

My gosh... I finally beat the game. It's been a while since I've played such a challenging puzzle game, though some of the hints were a little off... However, some thinking would lead to the spot. I would say the easiest one for me was turtle plus key one, and the hardest the three-item add on the red sail and the pirate hats. Unlike other point & click games where you just click randomly, there is a logic to it making it possible to complete without a walkthrough. My best advice for puzzle flash games is to think outside the box.

I truly enjoyed the childish touch, combined with the well-drawn environment and soothing music. Indeed, a very polished game with high quality visuals! I felt the gameplay and setting seems to target younger audience. Honestly speaking, these games never really interest me until I start playing them and get stuck. I then have this deep down curiosity and the urge to finish the whole thing. Ugh! I'm glad to say that I was wrong. Great game! :)

Ubooly and Friends Guide
Solution to Ubooly and Friends

Exploration!
Items are relatively easy to find, they will pulse when you hover your mouse over them. From the first screen pick up the lemon, lollipop, wooden racquet and two scoops of ice-cream from the bowl in the centre. Get a stone triangle from the bottom right corner of the hut.

Go right one screen and you'll find another stone triangle to the right of the statue's eye. Go right to the next screen and you'll see a gold key on the desk and a rusty nail sticking out of the bow of the ship. Grab them as well as the stone triangle on the top of the globe. Now go up one screen.

Nab the Tiki figurine, feather from the parrot's hat and the palm fan bottom right corner. Don't forget the stone triangle on the sail and then go left. By this stage, you will notice the stone triangle in the ear of our stony friend. Nab it as well as the red paintbrush, stone antenna top of statue and second Tiki figurine and continue left.

Snatch the banana and cookie. Just don't miss the stone triangle under the second step from the top and pick up the orange crayon and third Tiki figurine too. Now head upwards. The wise Platypus will help us if we get stuck. Good to know. Swipe the stone triangle from above his window and head right.

Grab the stone triangle from the head dude and the chili pepper from my mouth! Grab the snail and go right one screen. Final screen! Click on the ginger ale and coffee mug. Now grab the last stone triangle from the chair at the end of the pillow and let's start finding those friends...

Caleste
I am slender tanned and tall, my green mane's a sight for all! If my jewellery only shone with equal splendour all day long... Notice the picture?

If you aren't there already, head to the top right area with the coconut tree. Well, that tree is tall and slender. The leaves make a green mane. But what's missing?

Look at the picture in the clue. Red earrings and an orange necklace...

Paint the two outer coconuts red with the red paintbrush and the necklace orange with the crayon! Voila!

Pikopi
The clue mentions Pirate Parrots, I think we should go down to the right middle screen. Notice the symbols on their hats?

Either trial and error or logical deduction will help here. Just follow the clues to change each Parrot's hat.

From left to right the symbols on the Parrot's hats should be hook, saw, mirror and peg leg.

Hums
I guard your treasure with a grin! Head down one screen so you're at the bottom right. That treasure chest is awful smily.

Well, it has a keyhole. Odd, the key does nothing. Time to decypher our clue. A Donut with 4 crossed out, a Brick with 1 crossed out and R=T, a Lemon with 4 = Y and a Rose with 1 crossed out.

Numbers indicate a letter in the word, therefore Donut with the 4 crossed out means Don't. Remove the letter U. What happens if we apply this to the rest of the clue?

It translates to {Don't Tickle My Nose}. Yeah right, like I ever do what I'm told. I have a feather and I guess your keyhole is a nose.

Camou
Check out that clue. When we're here we look like that and when we're here we look like that. But those circles look the same... What changes to look like it's surroundings?

Head up to the top right screen with our coconut amigo. Look at those chameleons, despite their best efforts we can still see them. But there are only two of them. The third line of the clue mentioned licking something yellow. Wait... what??

Oh right... Ice cream! Obviously. Two scoops for two hungry reptiles. Put some frozen Ice cream in the bowl between our scaly friends. Sweet!

Bertam
Coloured thoughts inside my head. Yellow, Green and Blue and Red. Tastes like a mighty fine picture puzzle to me! Shimmy over to the middle screen with the Foxxy statue.

OK, maybe it's a Kitty statue. Stop splitting hairs and take a gander at that 4x4 square grid. It's yellow, like the first part of our clue and the picture in the clue looks like a star.

Click to rotate the squares until they line up to make a picture of a star. Now the grid is green. Arrange the 4x4 grid to match the pictures in the clue, a pyramid, a crescent moon and a love heart. The colour will change each time you get the right combination.

Humlet
Confounded! Where'd my audience go? All three of my friends must see my show! Well... who have we seen that looks like a bit of an attention who - I mean, entertainer.

Go up to the top middle screen. Looks like that Tiki figurine wants some friends to watch it juggle. Luckily we have such friends. The second part of the clue says they need an unhindered view. Well, I don't think they're that enthused by juggling but who am I to argue?

Place the three Tiki figurines we collected onto the three plinthes in front the turtle. Make sure all of the can see though!

Put the medium sized figurine with it's eyes on top at the back, the tall one with the eyes on the bottom in the middle and the titchy little one right in front.

Tiko Tiko
For a bigger fully-grown Tiki, getting fed is pretty tricky! So slice me some apples! They're always a treat. 9 times 3 is the number you need.

Fully-grown Tiki? I think I saw on of them in the bottom middle screen. But I never saw any apples...

Oh, I get it. The triangles in the middle are like a square apple. Hey wait a minute, 9 times 3? Triangles have three sides.

You figured it out already. The nine stone triangles we collected earlier make the same apple shape as on the Tiki's tummy. Drag and down it.

Raffo
On this island there stands a home- wait four legs and a dome??? Who has four legs and a dome and perhaps takes their home everywhere with them?

Shoot up to the top middle screen and visit our Turtley Awesome chum. He has four legs and a dome but where is this keyhole that's so hard to see?

Duh... it's hard to see. Do a squint face and peer intently at the markings on the Tortoise Shell. Notice a keyhole shape just up and left from the eye?

Drag the golden key we found over to the keyhole.

Parr Harr
Pirate S_ail Song? Maybe the missing letter is N. Pirate Snails? Head down to the slowest ship on the sevens seas!!! Bottom right screen.

Five snails and five names... but how do we know which snail is named what?

Take a squiz at the shells. I can make out two Ps, a J, a D and a G. Two P's though? Ah, one's a girl snail and one's a boy snail...

Click the snails in order of their names. Peter is second from the right, Gina is leftmost, Daniel is on the far right, Peggy is at the top and Johnson is second from the left.

Tammi
We want tasty, yummy yummies. Food for our hungry tummies.

Don't we all my friend? Notice the little sketch in the clue? I've seen those critters around the place before. Head to the bottom middle screen.

Well, we have empty tummies characters but what food to give them? Use their appearance as a clue and check through your inventory to see what might fit.

Put the banana in the monkey's tummy, the lollipop in the swirly tongued one's tummy and the coffee mug in the over caffeinated looking dude's tummy. Now head up one screen.

Why the sour face? Looks like this guy's been sucking on lemons. Head up one more screen to the top middle. Seems our friend here is missing some teeth, I guess that rock hard cookie was a bad idea. Shift to the right now and check out our last hungry customer. Now that's a face I recognize and feed it the chili pepper.

Cattlyn
Make some noise! I loves me some percussion man! Looks like all the crabby drummers around here need something to beat their bongos with.

Luckily, we have just what they need. Hand out the stone antenna, wooden racquet and palm fan to the three crabs in the bottom middle and bottom left screens!

Tail Kail
Put a yell__ sn___ with a _u_ty n___
in it's gin__r al_ on a big red s___!

Maybe we should check our inventory to see what this might mean...

Put a yellow snail with a rusty nail in it's ginger ale on a big red sail!

Go to the right middle screen and put the yellow snail with a ginger ale and rusty nail. Looks like we have found all of Ubooly's friends. I hope you feel special. I know I do.

SkullFace Game Review

Game Review
It has been a while since I've seen a decent action-platform flash game. Don't you just love the clearing stages flawlessly with smooth controls? Well, If you do. Skullface is the kind of game that you will enjoy and it is going to be a challenging yet rewarding adventure for you definitely!

Skullface is an action platformer largely inspired by SuperMeatBoy, N+ and Jumper, according to the developer. The game itself spans over 45 levels across 3 unique worlds. The levels have a good difficulty progression and the developer manage to replicate the feel and environment from Super Meat Boy. The level designs were excellent. Surprisingly, there are some levels which I felt slightly difficult, have induced just the right amount of frustrated but still keeping me going. The final boss level was really intense and a perfect conclusion to this awesome game. ^^

I checked out the comments and I really don't know what everyone is talking about when they mention walljumping issues. The walljumping are precise and smooth as butter. The slight downtime between landing and rolling can be a bit of a nuisance and the Jetpack is a little tough to master, but everything functions great otherwise. It took me nearly 2 hours but got all A+. I really felt victorious when I won and totally worth the effort.

SkullFace is a visually appealing platform game. It is something rare nowadays. The music is fitting and catchy, the characters are memorable and the sound effects were entertaining. Simply put, even with its imperfections, I could see Skullface being a great platform flash game.

The Unexpected Bug Game Review & Walkthrough Guide

Game Review
#$^%*@&! Alert alert, an unexpected bug has occurred when the robots are initializing their engine! Now all the robots are on a rampage, they have all turned into killers now. You are in a hot pursuit, trying to avoid and kill the robots before you get eliminated. Remember to boost the scientist with upgrades and help the scientist fix his robot's bug.

In this flash game, there are two modes: Story and Hardcore. In story mode, you need to reach to the max distance and fix the bug in order to complete this mode. The story mode itself is already quite difficult. I'm at the peak of every upgrade possible and still couldn't beat the game. After around 100 attempts then I beat the boss in story mode. You can say I'm not an arcade pro. Meanwhile in hardcore you need to run and resist as long as possible. You basically collect points in hardcore mode you have to unlock achievements which gives you hardcore points. Certain achievements lowers the hardcore difficulty boosting your combo duration, bonus, and so on. I personally think the achievement-based hardcore run is a nice concept, making the run not so easy as it seems.

One thing that I don't like is their keyboard layout. I'd rather have the glitch under the spacebar, as 'E' makes me miss jumps quite often. The best way to solve is to allow us to configure our keyboard layout especially in platform games. On the other hand, I think the mechanic of the game is rather interesting. It combines running and shooting into one. Now I need to find a way to use my left brain to jump and my right to aim. Too bad they don't work together! ^^ The animation is simple yet effective. The sprites are visually attractive and creative too. Imagine rocket cats, green winged dogs, floating monkey... Who would have thought of that? After all, this game deserves 5/5 stars, nice work.

Red Rogue Game Review

Red Rogue
Red Rogue Logo

Play Online: Red Rogue
Developer: Aaron Steed
Genre: Adventure, Platform, RPG

Game Review
Red Rogue is now available for your dungeon crawling delight, I will rate it 10 and it should not missed. It first attracted my attention with its striking color scheme; grayscale and deep red. I could best describe Red Rogue as a side scrolling roguelike flash game packed with quite a punch!

This is an astonishingly well made game. The combat can be fast paced and fiercely tactical, and the developer gives you the choice between two combat types; action RPG based or dogmatic based. Both modes are great but I will prefer action RPG more. Basically, you start off with nothing. You and your pet minion attack by shoving your opponent, you might stun monsters by chance. Combat revolves around being leveled up enough to get into a shoving match, or finding a ladder to climb up so you can stun your enemies. Due to the nature of the combat there's no jumping, but this means we get gameplay much more similar to the original Rogue.

Along the way you can pick up weapons, armor, health packs and runes from enemies you kill and treasure chests. You can use the runes to enchant your weapons and armor. The game is made to be versatile; an example is a heal rune... If you eat it, you get healed. You throw it, it heals what it hits. You cast it on armor and it heals you slowly when worn. Each action performed gives unique effects that could be beneficial or detrimental. Besides that, I love the fact you can also equip items to your pet minion and can throw items as weapons.

The atmosphere is perfect, and when combined with the soundtrack is well deserving of the horror tag. The developer has done a superb presentation in reinventing the user interface. I found it pretty intuitive and quick to navigate. Like I said, Red Rogue has minimal graphics and inputs, making it very easy to get into. It's definitely one of the promising dungeon crawler or roguelike flash game I have ever played.

Monster Detective Game Review & Walkthrough Guide

Monster Detective

Play Online: Monster Detective
Developer: PastelGames
Genre: Adventure, Puzzle

Game Review
Like with all of Pastel's other games, I came from the artwork, but stayed for the storyline. Monster Detective is PastelGames' latest point-and-click adventure. You are given a task to look for a woman who's gone missing in a small town. You soon discover that something isn't right and there should be a bigger underlying problem. In this town, you are alone and you have to track down clues yourself. No one is willing to help you. So you have to click around to talk to people, pick up useful items and hints to progress. Scout all areas for clues that will lead to her location and possibly safe retrieval.

The gameplay worked well and I like the art style but the dark-black environments makes finding items or knowing what areas are clickable extremely hard. It can be very annoying when you are searching clickable stuff as the black and white style really tends to blend together, otherwise everything was pretty good. Music was creepy just as it should be and the game wasn't hard at all. The puzzles and item uses are all fairly logical and clear.

It's just the kind of quality I've come to expect from Pastelgames. Overall, the story was interesting and the characters were believable. I wasn't even expecting that kind of ending which surprised me. Hope the ending means there's a sequel in mind. Thumbs up for detective flash games! Weeee.
