Vectagon Game Review

Game Review
Vectagon is a fast paced twitch-heavy runner game crafted for the hardcore audience. This is one of those kind of games that makes your eyeballs feel like they're being forcibly twisted against your will while still in their sockets. According to its developer, been inspired by Rez, Dyad and F-Zero. Vectagon is a simple, engaging game. You'll go in thinking you'll play a short game, but soon find yourself repeating the same level at least a couple of dozen times, quickly jabbing at the screen to restart after cursing loudly from the ridiculous mistake you just made.

Vectagon is one of a rare breed of games, and what makes Vectagon such an addictive experience is its simplicity and incredibly difficulty. If you've played Super Hexagon, you understand the sort of game. You’re driving through a tunnel, and you have to move to the left and right to dodge walls that it throws up. As you go, more edges to the tunnel are added, and it gets much more difficult to manoeuvre the ship you’re in. The overall goal is to last as long as possible without getting crushed between two walls while you're zig-zagging your way through the endless tunnel. The controls are surprisingly responsive and silky smooth, but not my reaction time.

It can be frustrating and punishing for those who are not good enough, while rewarding those who master it with a supreme sense of satisfaction. But each playthrough is worth it though, as just breaking your own personal record by a second! It will test your reflexes, patience and endurance just to survive 20 seconds in the gentlest of its modes and possibly hours of training before you can go for a 30 seconds maybe? If you’re a fan of hard runner games, I recommend putting this on a watch list.

VikingLand Walkthrough
In VikingLand, you have to apply a little strategy skills to win the game to achieve flawless victory. I experiment and found that build a single type of towers won't get you far after stage 1. You need a mix of towers and make smart upgrades in order to win the rest of the game. Firstly, analyze the map structure; Example will be finding critical intersection points to build towers first. Secondly, understand the tower properties. Magical towers are extremely effective towards monsters with physical armor, and Throwing Towers against magical armor. Lastly, most stages comes with a trap, understand it first and use it wisely. You’ll be a winner. :D

Stage 1 - Build all Magic Towers.
Stage 2 - Build 6 Throwing Towers, 4 Magic Towers, 2 Splash Towers.
Stage 3 - Build 8 Throwing Towers, 4 Magic Towers.
Stage 4 - Build 8 Throwing Towers, 6 Magic Towers.
Stage 5 - Build 7 Throwing Towers, 3 Magic Towers, 1 Splash Towers.
Stage 6 - Build 7 Throwing Towers, 4 Magic Towers, 1 Splash Towers.
Stage 7 - Build all Throwing Towers.
Stage 8 - Build 13 Throwing Towers, 4 Magic Towers. To win the last boss, sell away all your towers and buy the blue tower.

Turtle Trigger Walkthrough
Turtle Trigger is all about competing for Highscores to be the best of the turtles! Survive this madness for as long as possible, and most importantly of all, don't die! Here are some quick tips for Turtle Trigger... Basically, use a shot gun against weak enemies in big groups, never shoot at bomber when near them. Use your jet pack when needed, such as spikes or enemies charging at you. The UZI is basically useless, you're better off with the rifle. The Bazooka overheats, spam slowly. I know it's hard. :P

To kill Rufus aka "The Boss", you have to shoot him in the head of the first part of the battle, except when he's about to do that ground pound thing (that's a no-damage mode for him). You'll see his head flash white with each hit that damages him. The second part of the battle starts when he "goes nuclear" as I put it, or when he shoots fireballs out in a circle. After that, any hit hurts him, including body shots. The ground pound no-damage mode still applies though. As for dealing with fireballs, you can try to dodge them, but you will probably still be hit.The best way to handle them is to shoot them; one shot will stop a fireball.

The best weapon for fighting Rufus is the assault rifle. While the rocket launcher looks like a good choice, the sustained fire you'll need to stop fireballs and hit Rufus will overheat it very quickly. The assault rifle, however, has a fast enough rate of fire to stop groups of fireballs and still hit Rufus, while also having a quick enough reload time to not get you killed while reloading. Additionally, it has a good enough damage rating to keep the fight from lasting too long, and it is more accurate than the other guns.

Pro-Tip: Reload the shotgun right after you shoot the first shot. The cooldown between reloading and then shooting is shorter than between each shot.

Flight Walkthrough
My fastest record is 15 days for this game, Flight. Basically, my strategy is to fly at low altitude, then pick up speed by gliding through a windmill or pick up cranes repeatedly. This cycle can keep on going and last for insanely long, as long you got fuel to control your paper plane. Every bar of fuel can give you about 1000 meters, just imagine if the game implements fuel pickups... The game is self sustainable! The "Mystery" Upgrade is actually pretty good. What it does is it makes your plane turn into some origami animal (I've seen the Learn to Fly's Penguin and Toss the Turtle's Turtle). And makes you bounce forward some more, hitting cranes, stars, and those propeller things.

Lastly, to grab lots of space stars. Try to max out all your upgrades first. Pick up your plane, go to bottom left corner, then throw quickly towards the top. Immediately hold left and space, so you should fly close to straight up. When you have about 1 bar of fuel left, stop using the engine. You should stall. Use emergency stall, now you're flying horizontally at some crazy high altitude and you can use the rest of your fuel to aim for space stars.

Pro-Tip: Do not throw backwards.

Toss the Turtle Walkthrough
Generally, make sure the cannons are the first item you upgrade when you can afford to, as they are the most rewarding to the distance. Next on the list will be Jetpacks, then weapons; for weapons, guns with more ammo are better imo. You are advised not to buy the chest bomb or nuclear bomb until you get your Tank and Golden Gun. They are really expensive and don't give you that much extra distance at early game.

For me, the best launching angle would be somewhere at around 50 degrees with full power. As soon as you are at the peak of your initial launch, activate your Rock Pack, Jetpack or Missile immediately. This will avoid the risk of hitting some spikes early on. Now, shoot the turtle when he is dropping (closer to the ground seems to be better, but not after he bounces) to maximize ammo use. Keep your finger on the D key to give you an extra distance, and only use the other keys if it is essential to get an item or avoid spikes, if it is not you should leave the W, A and S keys alone.

In this launcher game, the only way to do much better progressively is to upgrade your character. And to upgrade, you need lots and lots of money! Here are a few ways to earn some extra coins; First is to do as many combos as you can. You get 25 more coins with 3 combos, 50 for 5 combos and increasing. Slowly but surely, bit by bit! Next is after you run out of stamina, try to dodge those meteors to earn extra few hundreds. I know it's hard but hold on for like 5 seconds? Trust me, it's worth it. My ultimate last way, is to start off with a perfect launch and spam your rush every time when available. Just do it, good luck!

Fear Less! Game Review & Walkthrough Guide

Fear Less!

Play Online: Fear Less!
Developer: Greg Lane & Anna Oliver
Genre: Distance, Upgrades

Game Review
Dear diary, I had a dream I was playing a wonderful flash game with awesome sound and perfectly fitting graphics. Unfortunately, I had to wake up... Fearless is an interesting idea and has a decent storyline for an distance flash game. The short storyline behind Fear Less is you playing as a little girl who has the same recurring dream over and over again, being chased by a fox grim reaper in a forest. It's pretty scary to have such nightmares! Therefore, clear your mind and overcome it by learning how to fear less.

It's a beautiful and enjoyable game the developers have crafted. So as she runs, the forest turns against her trying to cripple her with obstacles; Mushrooms trying to trip her, foxes start attacking her, rabbits slowing her down by skipping towards her and etc. I like how it makes sense how the game only ends once you've gotten all the medals, if you think about it. You start as a weak, mostly helpless girl with no idea what's going on, but as she goes through the nightmare again and again, she gets stronger and stronger, to the point where she's really no longer scared. She basically is being a stronger version of yourself to escape the nightmare. Here is something we can learn from!

I manage to beat the nightmare, it wasn't as difficult when it came down to it. It has some challenges but they don't take grinding, just getting a bit used to the game. Really the hardest part is to run flawlessly for 2 minutes. And the upgrade system is there to help you, it certainly adds a little replay value. I had a good time with this and am looking forward to a similar continuation of this. Keep up the good work! It makes me wonder how many foxes woke up that night after having a nightmare about strolling though a forest, minding their own business, only to be mercilessly being disemboweled by a passing girl with a red bow and a sword.

Sword - Better sword aim. Cost: 5 / 10 / 20 / 50 / 100
Fox Ears - Foxes won't attack you. Cost: 200

Recommended Build for Fear Less!
1. Jump
2. Recover
3. Sword
4. Health
5. Repeat until you get all upgrades.
6. Fox Ears

List of Medals in Fear Less!
Death Dodger - Run 100m far.
Recurring Nightmares - Run 666m total.
The Grass is Greener - Run 500m far.
The Hardest One - Win a medal.
If You Can't Beat Em... - Buy the Fox Ears.
All of the Things - Buy all upgrades.
Traumatized - Die 10 times.
Fighting Back - Travel twice as far as your first run.
Master of Suspense - Recover from near death to full health.
Trouble With Truffles - Only take damage from mushrooms.
Like a Badger Badger - Jump over 100 mushrooms.
Mushroom Cloud - Jump over 500 obstacles total.
Out Fox - Pop 20 foxes.
Over the Moon - Pop 15 wolves.
With Her Bear Hands - Pop 10 bears.
How Could You? - Hurt an innocent bunny.
You're NOT on Fire! - Safely run past 100 fires.
Sunshine - Beat the Nightmare.
Collector - Get 15 Dream Coins in one run.
Hoarder - Get 300 Dream Coins in your bank.
All of the Money - Get 150 Dream Coins in one run.
Pacifist - Jump over an enemy.
Friend to Nature - Jump over every kind of animal.
Squat Thrusts - Jump off the screen.
Rhythm - Run 20s flawlessly.
Flow Ninja - Run 60s flawlessly.
Inception - Run 120s flawlessly.

Honestly getting all the medals are pretty straightforward but if you want to ask me which is the hardest medal to get... I personally think is to run flawlessly for 2 minutes. I would highly suggest you to get all the upgrades first before trying. Basically don't Double/Triple jump just because you can, you may need to Double/Triple jump over something and not be able to because your still in the air.

Pro-Tip: You can actually jump over enemies, if you miss on the sword bar, and avoid taking damage.

Game Review
Oppa Gangnam style, Gangnam style! Hey, sexy lady... Oh, I'm sure you recognize the recent viral hit on Gangnam Style by PSY. It is really a popular internet meme and the mass appeal of the music video has been attributed to its signature dance move known as “the horse-riding dance.” It actually combines simple hopping and hand movements resembling the posture of a horseback rider.

Yes, you are right! Big brother going crazy run in Gangnam District with his trendy and hilarious style. Get wild and become popular in Gangnam. Well, Oppa Gangnam Run is very normal distance runner game except you're PSY running away from Slendermen. I really love it when the developer mixed the 2 most strangely popular things, Gangam style and Slenderman. Wait so, I'm Gangnam man running from Slender? Seems legit. :)

I like this song. It is pretty catchy and it just makes you want to get up and dance! I find this to be a decent game. It's not one of my favorite games, probably because it doesn't have that much going on. It doesn't hold up to my standards for a runner game. It's still good for what it is.
